Because the foundations of the system are in the exploitation of people outside the white norm, in shouldn't be so surprising that it was the birthplace of racism and discrimination. Minorities, both ethnic and political have always been abused for just being who they are. The system forces conformity on all of us, because it expects everyone to act the same way and do exactly what they tell you.
