@Toddlestead First learn what 'pop music' is: it's 'popular music'. Never equate pop music with Britney Spears or shit music because you'd be doing it an injustice. Pop songs are songs that were popular at the time when they were released. Pop songs could be a rock tune if it became popular through the airwaves. Under The Bridge could be considered a pop song under the rock genre. Led Zeppelin, when they emerged, would be considered pop music as well. Check your sources before you bash people.

@MsGibbone are you fucking stupid? of course it was frusciante. john joined the band shortly after hillels death in 1988, under the bridge was written in 1990 for the album Blood Sugar Sex Magik which was released in 1991. so yeah. it was frusciante. and to say it is a pop song is fucking ridiculous, it is known as a rock ballad. i wouldnt say this is a bad cover, but it has nothing on chili's.
