A great PLAYSTATION phone is the next big thing in cell phone "trends" after the RAZR, Sidekick, and iPhone. Being under the NEXUS moniker can make it happen for both SE and Google.
Nexus PLAY by this year, please? If not, I may just end up with a Motorola Android, Samsung WP7, or BlackBerry OS 7 phone for my next phone and be stuck with it for 20 months. Sony can NOT wait 3-4 years and bank on their NGP for all the success at mobile gaming. Others will start adding the gaming pads too.
HTC manufactured the Nexus One. Samsung manufactured the Nexus S. Sony Ericsson, please ally yourself with Google and NVIDIA to make us the Nexus Play! I want stock Android where I can get updates first without worrying about OEM custom software and carrier bloatware. Give me QUAD-CORE (Kal-El), real dual analog-sticks, and I would have no problem paying for one at $529+ unlocked. Look at Apple's few weaknesses and do the opposite or improve on their strengths.
@downloadz1 They stated late-March for Verizon first, but I don't see the FCC approving their model yet. Knowing SE, I expect April/May release, but who knows? It won't be a Verizon exclusive though.
The release date in the uk is march 31st and sony said the us would b the 1st to get the phone Im getting mine day1
