So, what happens when your cross the greatest 16 bit machine ever created (the Super Nintendo) with the excessive talent of Squaresoft's "Dream Team" (Final Fantasy's Hironobu Sakaguchi, Kazuhiko Aoki, musical composer legends Nobuo Uematsu & Yasunori Mitsuda and legendary character designer Akira "Dragonball" Toriyama)?

Simple. One of the greatest games ever made, on any format, on any hardware generation.

As many others, It was not released in Europe (to my great sadness) so it was many years later that I was able to enjoy it.

A Wii Virtual Console port is the number 1 request from everyone all around the globe, but this will be tricky, too many people (none of them are at Square-Enix at all) to get the permission to do so... but this has to happen, it just does!*

Hope the intro brings back to you as many fond good memories not only of this game, but of indeed, the golden age of video gaming.

*And it finally did. Download the game on the Wii Virtual console right now! =)

PS: I will not debate this any further. This game was never released as an official PAL cart and this is the fact. The first time the game came to Europe was in 2009 , the DS version. Not even the Playstation version was released over here. This are the facts, they are not debatable and I will not tolerate further discussion of this in here, misinformation serves no one.

It was not. There were however many import copies on sale. but I repeat, this game never got a official PAL release, just like "Final Fantasy III" and "Super Mario RPG".

Bloody gay music tbh. Im glad i never played this game, music would have driven me insane.

There's two versions of this. PSX version's got a few highlights of the major incidents (Marle being absorbed by the Time-Stream, and a close-up of Magus's evil face), while this version has quite a number of notable fights.

A real challenge would be to either combine both takes from those intros, OR to take different scenes to make up a new intro, but it's your call. Don't over-stress yourself; you're doing it for love.

The only rpg that really stands at the same level to this is ff3/6, with ff7 taking a respectable 2nd. I've already put 10 hours into this game in 3 days. I can't think of another game i have done that for. Also, does anyone else kinda think if they took the animation style, they could make an amazing chrono trigger animated series?

I was playing SNES and reading international magazines all they way back in 1992, before I even had Internet. That's where I get my information if you even care. And I love JRPGs, I was always extremely peculiar with release details of games such as Final Fantasy III, this and Super Mario RPG in Europe.
