Took a second to capture some video of a catch we had. I had to wait for the other deckhand to ice the last catch before I could do anything to help. We probably make 3 to 4 sets a day and catch 100 to 300 fish per set. We work 3 to 4 days at a time on a 32 foot boat, usually around 40 miles out.
i put this up a year ago but it was from summer 2008. I watch now and laugh at my grunting but im sure i was exhausted, 16-19 hour days and that was probably day 3. Going to WSU now. I still work in the summer so i hope to get more videos of how it really works for some less-technical boats. Fishing vessels use whatever set-up works for that boat and that captain. Ill get blackcod, halibut, salmon, and razor clam vids out. commercial razor clam digging from Willapa Bay.
