You can eat your way to clear, radiant, glowing skin. You can get rid of acne, wrinkles, eczema, psoriasis, and lose weight. The diet consists of real, whole foods. Yes, there is a lot of fat in this diet. That is a good thing. We need fat; the American diet consists of too many bad fats and not enough good fats. Coconut oil, olive oil, and butter are all beneficial in moderation. In this diet you need to avoid all refined vegetables oil like canola, safflower, corn, and soybean oil. More importantly, you need to avoid HYDROGENATED oils (trans fats). These are man made and are HORRIBLE for you. These oils are hidden in all kinds of processed foods like peanut butter and "I can't believe it's not butter." You can eat an abundance of fat if you are eating it from real food like coconuts, avocados, almonds, walnuts, seeds, fish, and grass fed meats. There are many cultures in which fat, especially saturated fat, is eaten in very high amounts. These people eat free range beef, bison, chicken, buffalo, coconuts, avocados, etc. They eat these foods as staples. The difference is they avoid processed foods. Mainly because they live in remote places where these foods are not wildly available. Scientists and doctors have found that the incidence of heart disease and other deadly diseases are very low in these cultures, even though they eat so much fat. We are killing ourselves with processed foods, not natural fats. Actually, saturated fat consumption has gone down in the U.S. while at the same time heart disease has risen and the population becomes more and more obese. This is because people eat fast foods, processed foods, pre-packaged foods, and way too much processed sugar from cakes, cookies, and commercial fruit juices. Do not be scared of fat from real food. Be scared of man made foods that do not come directly from the earth! The polyunsaturated fats in vegetable oils are not good for us in the abundance we eat them here in the U.S. These polyunsaturated fats make our cell membranes really flimsy and defeat the purpose of the "selective barrier" our cell membranes are supposed to be. Did you know that our cell membranes actually contain more saturated fat that unsaturated fat? That's right; they are 50% or more saturated fat. Our body needs a healthy balance of both not a deficit in one or the other. These fats are essential to the integrity and rigidity of the membrane. You do not need to eat all those polyunsaturated oils. Instead eat monounsaturated oils like olive oil and cook with oils like coconut oil. If you don't take my word for it, do some of your own research. You owe it to yourself. It's your body, your health, and your life on the line here. Since you will be eating so many vegetables, which are calorie restricted but full of nutrients, good fats will not increase your caloric intake over your daily limit. I eat all the foods I am telling you about and I sometimes do not even reach my 1700 calories a day. We need to try and get our omega-3 and omega-6 ratio more balanced. A 1:1 ratio would be good. The American diet is more like 1:15. Do not go overboard with the fats but keep them in your diet. You need at least 1 good fat in each of your meals.

good video...the *only* thing I would add is that canned salmon, sardines and kippers are very very good sources of Omega 3 fats..and they are the true sources of this fat...so these are little processed and NOT on perimeter of store but will help your total health. Walnuts too...usually found in the interior aisles of the store.

@valnaples Yes, I agree. After I posted the video I noticed I forgot canned tuna, salmon, sardines, etc. I could of swore I said walnuts.... Hmmmm I don't remember now lol. Yes, like I said there are times you need to go into the isles. But for the most part, the perimeter is best. These are just guidelines. Interestingly, at the health food store where I shop the walnuts, almonds, canned tuna, etc. are all in the perimeter!! Some stores differ though. I know that. Thanks for watching! :)
