@TheChimpvanzee An all-too-common misconception of a lauded "underground." Today's alternative music is wallowing in pretense, rehashed ideas, and overproduction. The lack of quality music is total rather than simply being relegated to the mainstream. Also- there was plenty of talent on the Top 40 throughout the 1960's.

So brings me back to MTV 120 minutes. Used to stay up late as a youngster and record videos to vhs. This was one of them. Right after this was voices of the beehive and then The Dead Milkmen. Good stuff. Shitty time period, but goods songs.

I know how you feel Mr JimmyPage32!!! The music was so much better then. They still give me goose bumps! Music then was about passion,telling a story,or at least great talent. Now most of it SUCKS!! I even prefer speakers from the 80's-classic sound. Where's that damn time machine?? Great music,great times,better health,heck I even had hair!!!!

first heard Blood and Roses playing off a TV at the Meat Market nightclub in Greensboro,NC from an episode of Miami Vice ... what a time ... what a band !!
