Lock In

Just as I was starting to warm to the idea that the new security system on the Clyde Tunnel was working OK, this happens...

I had to wait 10 minutes before being let out, and apparently the control room for it is moving away from the Clyde Tunnel to the city centre. Not good!

I think its more likely it took 5 minutes. I dont believe each one of his cuts cut out 2+ minutes. Probably doing that to exaggerate the time taken. Funny how he doesnt have his timer up this time.....

This system sucks! Already I'm thinking what if there was a fire in the main car tunnel. Smoke could be blown through pedestrian tunnels depending on airflow direction. If this happens where is the emergency button? Trapped and asphyxiated. I can see a major problem here. This is a total shambles. Why are they doing this?
