It's irony that these are probably some of my favourite car videos, since he's driving a Subaru, and I was hit pretty bad by one when I was 11... got a pretty penny from the accident, though. They are pretty nice looking vehicles.

it's not exhibition...the drivers are timed on the course and it actually counts towards their overall time, so they want to make it through as fast as posible

You need to be a great driver....
You need to understand the mechanics and physics of driving on all types of terrain, and in all different conditions(hot, cold, rain, snow, wind).
You need sponsors, which you get from winning races and being good.
And yeah, you need lots of money for cars, repairs, crew, etc etc etc. And then if you suck and lose all the time, you're not going far.
