An undercover investigation by Sweden's TV4, for a current affairs program called "Cold Facts," found another method being used: plucking the geese while alive. Investigative reporter Per Hermanrud said on some farms, workers "pluck the bird repeatedly about 4 times."The reason, he says? Profit.

  • @CHABOROBLES88 Asshole! Geese feel pain, too! What if someone were to pluck out all your dumbass pubic hairs one by one. How would you feel?

  • Ugh, did you see the look on those geese face's while they were being plucked? So much fear and pain.

  • @keeponblinking **humane options

  • @keeponblinking then we're just beating around the bush here. the animal lovers will go for the polyester-filled coats. the rest will opt for down-filled. i understand polyester is synthetic. but if we're on that topic, we have so much that we will have to get rid off-- so much clothing these days are made of polyester. my main point is we dont have to torture and inflict pain upon animals just so we can stay warm. humans are smart, there are so many other more human options. come on now!

  • @BethuneGal Polyester is made from plastic - not natural. Many don't biodegrade. So, what happens when you throw that polyester out? It goes to the local landfill, then breaks down into smaller pieces. The smaller plastic pieces then enter the food web, and now we are all eating chemicals. The chemicals are then ingested by a baby and it gets cancer. Now, he just did a inhumane act, unintentionally of course, by buying that polyester. Damn. Should have gone with the down.

  • Okay. So, there is no winning. If they were to kill them first, it would still be cruel, right? This way the geese still get to live, except they will just be featherless for awhile. People do this to themselves voluntarily all the time in the form of bikini waxes, and waxing the legs. There's worse things in the world. That's all I'm saying. Let's leave the goose farmers alone.

    @wwddnnssddyy

    But I think Desertdarlenes got a point, when you look up the definition of face, that's what a face is.

  • @Desertdarlene

    @wwddnnssddyy

    I could be wrong but I think they have beaks not faces but I'm no biologist.

  • @wwddnnssddyy Are you high on something? What is your definition of a face? It has two eyes, a nose (nostrils) and a mouth, doesn't it?
