I wonder what Wilkerson's family/followers think now when they read Psalm 91: "Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call upon me, and I will answer him..." So much for "standing on the promises of God.". Or maybe this scripture doesn't apply to weary travelers on Texas highways? Maybe someone forgot to pray? Or maybe the scripture is true, but Wilkerson is dead because he suicided himself? Or maybe fundamentalism is BS.

According to one of Wilkerson’s co-workers he was going through a very difficult time with his own cancer, recurring cancer in his wife, both of his daughters and the death of a young granddaughter from a malignant brain tumor in 2005.
