I actually have about 3 different versions of this put out by different companies, including one that uses a perforated deck of cards. The great weakness of all of them is that either the threaded item cannot be shown from the rear, or cannot be viewed close up from any direction. Nice performance here.

@cormatches The deck of cards version was called RIBBON CARD ESCAPE and was copyright 1989 by Mike Shelley. An internet search might reveal if someone still has one for sale. I have done it only once or twice, for an audience, because (1) it's difficult to see what you're doing as you thread the ribbon (actually a bulky shoelace) and (2) the "escape" of the card is somewhat unconvincing.

Particularmente me gusta bastante más la versión de MB que la de Tenyo, que estéticamente deja mucho que desear.
