It was nearing dusk... the eight year old Jesus stopped to catch his breathe... serving the hills of Galilea to the North and the majestic snow crowned Mount Hermann. Then he turned his gaze to the left where the majestic purple Mount Carmel rose beyond which lay the fringe of silverly sand of the great sea. But it was the great plain to the south that commanded the young boy's full attention.
Farway in the distance stood two imperial figures - Michael and Gabriel... He sees the future, Gabriel whispered ... the final war - Armageddon.

@JulianMaple that is the catholics, but have u read d bible for yourself and see that it actually requires u 2 break free frm religion, u dnt av go to mass 2 b saved. Jesus died dat u can be saved. although, we r born of d flesh we r not of d flesh we can still live a life free frm sin, a life in d spirit. Don't always think dat judgement is bad, judgement is just a reward, it can b good or bad and God is a just judge because He rewards u 4 wht u av done. Hell was never meant for man

But it is not a free gift. That is not as I understand the Church puts it? There's a lot of things you have to do before you are blessed/"saved". You must go to Mass, or go to Confession, or pray, of get baptized, or (if you're Catholic) apologise for your very existence because we are Sin incarnated. That to me is not a Free Gift of Salvation.

But God is omnipotent. Surely All That There Is could not require anything? If God required something, it would mean there was something God did not have, making God less than All There Is, the Creator, THE God. If obedience is the path to blessing, who does God obey? How could God know the path of obedience if He/She is not obedient to something?

But if the Bible's God is omnipotent and all powerful, it would already have everything it requires. Why does it require our obedience? I don't understand how a God that declares itself as Love, could then be a Judge and sentance it's own creations to eternal torment because the creations did something that the God did not like. A merciful and forgiving God, but only to an extent? That does not seem perfect to me. I do not wish to cause you offence. There are just things that I do not understand

I think I understand. What I can't get my head around is a "perfect" and "all-loving" God that would allow any of its creatures to come to any eternal harm or suffering, and that would require obedience. No offence to you, sir. I believe in a God... just not this one.

I have a question.
If God is all powerful, as he is presented, how can it be conceived that there is a battle that God could lose?
If God is all-loving, how is it conceivable that he would allow Humans (the so called favoured-race, built in His/Her image) or any other of his creations to be condemned to Hell; eternal torture be it physical, mental or spiritual. Free Will or no Free Will, that is not a loving act.
Can the Bible answer that?
