This day in which the usually sheep-like American people stood up against something made me proud.

I used to want to be a cop. From what I have seen lately I would be embarrased to be one now. Cowards, ego maniacs, insecure, low intelligence, thughish, criminal, programed douchebags.

@lukepetti I think the kid was not an archist.....with or without the shoes! He was just an angry kid looking for an excuse to exert some aggression! There was no message conveyed by many of the "Kids" at the WTO Protest. That is why it just reminded me of a frat party that got out of hand. Not much different than some of the college riots you see occur every now and then!

@fibbersfan man, you surely dont know a thing about politics and living in the world of capitalism. If somebody is wearing nike shoes and stands up as an anarchist, thats not even wrong. Do you think that if he took out those shoes the ENTIRE WORLD WOULD BE ANARCHIST? grow up, seriously.

There were many people at the WTO protest who understood the issue and were trying to make a statement. Then it turned into a party/riot. Reminded me of frat kids acting out. I worked at a homeless shelter and protesters wouldn't let our residents into the facility. The people who acted up just make a joke of the event and their message was lost. My favorate image of WTO/Seattle was a "Anarchist" wearing NIke shoes jumping on a burning dumpster. Dumb... very dumb. Message lost!

I can understand how you can feel that way, but people told MLK Jr that nothing he did would change anything, people told Gandhi the same thing. Throughout history people have been told that the power of the people is just a fallacy that it will never change anything, this is a lie. founding fathers admitted that the power of the government is directly connected to the willingness of the governed and that if that government becomes corrupt, the people have the right to oppose it

If I hit 'em high, you can hit 'em low! Wait, can there be a "low-hit" on the WTO!? Sub-human fuckers! My future will never be led into slaughter!
But MangoMawn what is WTO ? is it good are bad ?

WTO - World Trade Organization. Sounds good doesn't it? Some aspects and stated goals are good. But, ultimately, it is undemocratic ... big decisions are made by elites behind closed doors ... The decisions never help average people. They are the King Gorge, The British East India Company of the modern era. Read, Confessions of an Economic Hit Man by John Perkins ... you will understand how Usury works then

This video was put together very well, the clip at 6:11 was crazy and depressing at the same time.

thank you Salvo. So, the slo-mo grenade toss (shot credit goes to Mark M.) is a'bit of a low point. It is the climax of the conflict section. But, that's why we then go to a reflective pause and then, bring in the happy beat with the happy shots - the "we're winning" montage and this brings the energy back up. It's very formulaic, but I still think it works. The artists women who made the giant puppet hands are actually the grandaughters of Cesar Chavez.
