The wings were cut out by hand using an Xacto knife. What a cake like this costs really depends on WHO is making the cake for you... My cakes tend to be a bit pricey. :0)

Did you make your gumpaste figurine all in one piece? That baby is cradled perfectly.
Do you mke your own gumpaste?
Thanks for the helpful tips Laura!

Thank you! The figurines are made in parts and then assembled together. I make my gumpaste mixing the crappy Wilton fondant with tylose. :0)

Honestly Laura...I haven't come across any dislikes in ANY of your videos! I can't stress enough how important professionalism is. You even knowledge errors! Your passion truly shows. Following your cakes has given me so much inspiration!
For me, I always use MM fondant because it tastes galaxies better than Wilton, and as a high school student...budget is tight. I can never get a hold of Statin Ice! There is a Chef Duff fondant brand, but I've never tried it.

You're a sweetheart! Thank you for the wonderful and kind words. I agree with you about the Wilton fondant. I tasted it once... ONCE! LOL! It tasted like cardboard! LOL! I'm so glad you find my work inspiring! I can only get Satin Ice online because no one here in my city sells it. :0)
