Considering you'd get stoned to death a thousand or so years ago just for working on a Sunday (among other things) I'd say our morality definitely has changed. Not to mention evolution works on a scale of tens of thousands of years, it's not necessarily responsible for the week to week changes in our character. Though you could certainly argue it is advantageous from an evolutionary standpoint to be capable of adapting to ones environment.
