The Doctor and Sarah Jane are trapped on the planet Exxilon due to a power drain in the TARDIS. They must form an alliance with the Space Marines and the Daleks who are also stranded there. Exxilon is rich with parrinium, the cure to a galactic plague. Time is running out! The Doctor must solve the riddle of the power drain or it will be death to all, even a Death to the Daleks!

'Death to the Daleks' was the first 'Pertwee' story I watched, back in 1987 on VHS (I was 10). I think it's a great story and still possibly my favourite of the 'Pertwee' years (although I do also really like 'The Three Doctors'). Episode 1 in particular is very atmospheric and opens the story really well. I also like the puzzles with the Doctor and his Exxilon pal in the later episodes. Plus the Dalek casings look great. 'Death to the Daleks' 10/10 from me. Keep those great reviews coming!

A very fair review Tricklestone, of a story unfairly maligned by many fans in a "group think" response. Dalek stories generally are very boring and predictable to me. Two Dalek stories I DO like are "Death to the Daleks", and "Genesis of the Daleks", as actual Daleks are only a tiny part of the overall story.

Side Note: This is the 1st DW story that I noticed Lis Sladen could be damned sexy, given the chance. Her tight bikini bottoms caught me by surprise! Pleasant surprise it was too!
