Can US Learn from German Economy?

German Chancellor Angela Merkel is currently in Washington D.C. where she'll receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom from President Obama as the White House hosts a state dinner. But maybe what Obama should really be doing is ask Merkel, how it is that Germany's economy, the 4th largest in the world, is recovering so well from the recession. So what can we learn, from Germany? The Atlantic Derek Thompson explains.

If Germany rules the world it will be a better place

We dont fell any depression here in Germany, even though the Euro-crisis. Even if the whole banking and financial system in Europe/Western World would fall apart, we would still produce cars, machines, devices and stuff. In Germany you can studies at a university for free, the social system cares even about the poorest of the poor. If you want to work, you can work.
