A Banyuls varen anar
de tabac a carregar
tota una companyia.

I en passant per Fortià
allì van encontrar
la refotuda espia
i a Figueres se'n va anar
a contar-ho al capità
-He vist contrabandistes

bé m'en direu quants n'hi ha
vos que ja els haveu vistos
-Quaranta n'he comptats
que anavan molt ben armats
de trabucs i carabines.

I el capità va endavant
es posa minyons comptant
-Anem a perseguir-los
i en passant ja per Ceret
allí pregunten per cert
si els havien vistos

Troben un senyor de bé
que els advertí molt bé
-No aneu a perseguir-los
que a tots us mataran
per molt valents que sigau
no aneu a perseguir-los.

I el capità va endavant
minyons anem passant
anem a perseguir-los
i en allí on els trobarem
baionetes pararem
farem carnisseria

I en passant per Galliners
allí ja hi varen ser
amb els contrabandistes,
i els duros a pilons
allí anaven saltant
moneda molt bonica.

M'encanta, però m'agrada més la versió de la Marina Rossell. La llàstima és que la lletra de la que canta ella és diferent, aquesta d'aquí és més llarga i sembla més genuïna.

Si, en el disc "si volíeu escoltar" la Marina Rossell canta cançóns tradicionals peró amb lletra cambiada i més "revolucionària"..
