I don't think Cheryl was wrong. She said in a separate interview that 'she didn't read the press, but you get a sense of what is going on backstage.. you get to know the contestants and people tell you things' - Which is true, you don't need to READ the press yourself to know whats in it, there are other ways of finding out. Though I do feel it was slightly unprofessional of her to confront him on live TV but if he can comment then she can reply in the same manner.

I can't believe she did that. She gets paid an absolute fortune to do that job and all she has to do is give constructive feedback for 10 seconds to each of the contestants to help them improve. However, she didn't do that, she used that 10 seconds to launch a personal attack on one of the contestants based on information from tabloid gossip. It was totally unprofessional and a disgrace when you consider how much she's paid.
