YouTube Unlisted Videos (132/365)

Unlisted Videos on YouTube allows you to share videos in a more personal way. The videos will not be listed on YouTube or Google's search engines. People do not have to login to their YouTube account in order to view the video. There is no limit on the amount of people that can view the video. The video will not display on your YouTube Channel page.

Only people that have the link to the video's YouTube page will be able to watch the video.

if you keep a video unlisted for a few hours after it's been uploaded and then set it to public will it show up in subscribers' subscription boxes or do you miss that opportunity by making it unlisted for the first hours it's up?

@nataliejeanette It will show up in the subscribers box if it's set to public. Upload multiple videos after you upload the unlisted video. Then make the unlisted video public and you can unofficially hide it by pushing it back. But they'll be able to still see it.

I like the idea! What I want to know if its just your friends or family that have access to the video, couldn't they just easily email to others as well, making the video accessible to others? How would that be considered unlisted?

@808charo If you run into that issue with Unlisted videos, make your video Private and you can share the link with up to 50 people.

I'm looking for a video of a cleveland, ohio btt nkd street brawl, that had 3 episodes about 3 different people,that was on the internet since november 2011, but the person who put it on there claims to have taken it all the way off the internet. Is that possible to put something on the internet and keep it in the hood only; they claim to have taken it off on mlk day jan 2012.
