Deepak Gadhia and his team have supported an incredible initiative, where the Climate Solutions Road Tour stopped for a night in Gujarat. Together with Ms. Arpita, Shirin and Deepak Gadhia have installed solar systems on the roof of the girls' hostel, where solar-heated water is used to cook delicious food for all hundred girls living here. The girls learn about the solar technology as well as other local environmental issues and return to their villages to share this information and encourage environmental protection. This true environmental education for implementation was really inspiring!
We shared our music together, the girls singing their songs and demonstrating their energy and enthusiasm through intricate dance. Here, they sing about the environment and the need to protect the world around us, with the same fundamental message that Paul sang in "Colors of the Wind" -- the earth does not belong to us but to our children and to each other. If we care about our future, young children like these, we must join together to protect the earth the youth will inherit.
Love it. Thanks for posting. Solar energy just makes so much sense!
