Greek mythology parallels Christianity in many ways. Nella Forest of pansgrove talks about the "simple" parallels between Dionysus, Jesus and Greek mythology , and the bible.

  • well done! i love this video.

    good job. 5/5! :D

  • Thanks!

  • I agreed with everything that you said except for one thing. WHen Zeus kills Chronos he declares himself chief of gods, however after that he and Hades did not get into a fight about that because he, Posiedon, and Zeus decided to split the universe amongst eachother. Zeus got to choose what his domain was first (since he killed Chronos and saved everyone else). Zeus chose the sky. Posiedon chose next and he chose the water, leaving poor Hades with the underworld.

  • Yes, I see your point on this.

  • If you wanna learn alot more detailed info on this type of subject you should read The Christ Conspiracy by Acharya S. Now that book is pretty good and explains the parallels in pretty simple terms with my scholarly references in it.

  • Sounds like a nice read. I will have to look into it.

  • There are a number of similarities between Dionysus and Jesus. However, you didn't really state any of them. No offense.

  • @dracula2035 Zeus never killed Kronos. Kronos was an immortal Titan... he can't die. He was confined (with many of the other Titans) in Tartaros. This is crucial to a thorough understanding of the ancient Greek world-view of thier spiritual philosophy because it has permanent implications for the cosmic order.

  • I love you!!! Keep it on ;)

  • @Doomz99 Hellene mythos by hundreds of years at least, elements went back millenia in all likelihood..

  • I think you take some liberties in this video, with your parallels, and with Asatru, However, Dionysus is Christ parallel number one in my book, and you have some good points there.

  • which one comes first .. is it the Greek Mytholgy or the Holy Bible stories?

  • Zeus declared himself as the King of the Gods because he freed his brothers and sisters from their father Kronos.

And actually Zeus didn't kill Kronos!

He banished him to wander the desert for all eternity with pandoras temple chained on top of his back. Atlas was made to hold the world on his shoulders.

Zeus punished all the titans for the sins of 1.

    Zeus is a prick...

    KRATOS FTW ^_^

    .

  • I love this video so much, best ever! <3
