@akalori I got the "Your Child Can Read" videos just a short time ago, but I think she's already past them... So we just read alot. I point at street signs (what does that say?), grocery signs, etc.... very oriented to "real life" reading, in addition to providing tons of books of course. My older daughter (now 7) is reading at a 10th grade level... at least at the beginning of 2nd grade. The best part is I've never had to teach either of them traditional phonics, so saved lots of time!
Great job - what did you do after YBCR? I have an early reader too. I think they are even about the same age and maybe the same reading level. I went from YBCR to Little Reader and sight words.
