This Public Service Announcement (PSA), produced in cooperation with Southern California fire officials, provides tips to consumers on how to continue safely using reformulated thinners and solvents. The PSAs are part of a Rule 1143 public outreach program aimed at educating consumers about product reformulations that may increase flammability of some products, primarily acetone-based paint thinners. The public outreach campaign will also include retailer training on potential changes in product reformulations and brochures in several languages to be distributed to consumers through retailers, cities, fire departments and other venues.
