  • The original is better, this lacks that simplicity that made the original Amiga themes so brilliant. Perhaps occasionally not having photo realistic graphics and full DTS compliant sound available encourages creativity. Not that Jesper Kyd e.g. seems to be hindered creating great game music by it but there is something hauntingly beautiful about old school Amiga music.

  • @gnomeuser

The original is not really better i think. Its just the nostalgic feeling we get when we hear the original amiga project x theme that makes us believe ist better.

  • Why the hell don't games have music like this anymore, this is what I think of when I think of computer game music, this and Terminal Velocity.

    Simply EPIC!

Because most Games are no Art anymore like at those great Amiga Times. They are just standarised commercial products. Sad but true :(

  • I need an MP3 version of this.

  • Use some YouTube Downloader or get from the amigaremix website.

  • CLASSIC!

  • @RonTaboga You're probably right! It's like it's burned into the brain, you just have to love the originals until you die. :-)

  • i came.

  • i love this theme

  • I want to like this more but throughout a lot of the remix it islacking something, like its too refined. Still love this track though.

  • the best stuff came from limited hardware. back then , it seemed the existing hardware would last for some time so developers had more time to make better coding and music routines that fitted into less and less memory. it was simply an exercise to get the most and best quality of everything into a small space. plus our understanding of tech was limited and we didnt expect that much from it. but when they delivered it, it blew our socks off !

  • @RonTaboga The drums are somehow just too over the top in the remix. They are not refined in a better way :(

  • Every time I hear this, I have a spaz attack from how indescribably awesome it is.

  • I like both
