“Unnecessary risks are being taken by patients seeking the liberation treatment.” says Dr. Avneesh Gupte of the CCSVI Clinic. “It has been our contention since we started doing minimally invasive venous angioplasties nearly 6 years ago that discharging patients who have had neck vein surgery on an outpatient basis is contra-indicated. We have been keeping patients hospitalized for a week to 10 days as a matter of safety and monitoring them for symptoms. Nobody who has the liberation therapy gets discharged earlier than that. During that time we do daily Doppler Ultrasounds, blood work and blood pressure monitoring among other testing. For more information Log on to ccsviclinic.ca OR Call on: +1 (404) 461-9560.

This has been the safe practice standard that we have adopted and this post-procedure monitoring over 10 days is the subject of our recent study as it relates to CCSVI for MS patients.” For more information Log on to ccsviclinic.ca OR Call on: +1 (404) 461-9560.

I have trouble moving both ankles but for me my right is worse. I have to walk on my toes otherwise it just slaps the ground. Not sure of the cause. I do have absent reflexes in my knees... could this be MS? I did have an MRI years ago that showed lesions but they were sure I didn't have MS.

i started to have the exact same problem as you ! does you leg hurt or anything? because my doesn't. im going to see the doctor tomorrow hope i will recover.
94brigate HI ,
I do still have this. It is something i have had for about 20 years. I'm 42 now and walk with the help of elbow crutches. Foot-drop was one of my first symptoms of MS. I had other symptoms as well numbness and blurred vision. Many things can cause foot-drop but go to the doctor it may be something simple to fix , take care Nick

I have secondary progressive MS. I don't know if I have an absence of reflexes or not but I do know I can't walk on tip-toe. My left side is weak, left ankle , knee , arm. It had been moving up the body slowly until I started light general exercise. Hope this helps Nick

I have MS. I don't get pain. Some people with MS get terrible pain. So in that respect I am very lucky. I think my left leg is slightly numb if anything. I get pain elsewhere on my body. Other things cause foot drop so it's probably not be MS, that you have, get it checked though. Take care nick.

I stretch the calf muscle. The muscles around the left knee are weak. I have recently started physio the involves use of an exercise band tying my legs together. This strengthens the muscles on the inside of the legs.
