*Disclaimer*

This is just an amateur workout I came up with hoping I could get fit just through parkour conditioning exercises.

So please don't expect anything amazing in this video... at least not yet!

I am currently 5'7" & about 160 lbs. My goal is to hit 145 lbs and have the ability to dunk on a standard height basketball rim (I am 4 inches from being able to touch rim)

My hope for these videos is that more experienced traceurs/freerunners could give me tips and/or advice on training, diet, conditioning, technique or form.

Music: Carpenters - We've Only Just Begun
(Everyone always uses high intensity rock songs for their parkour videos. I thought I'd change it up a bit haha)

  • so im just starting this and i bin jumping off stuff and rolling everysince i was in grade 4 but im 15 years old now and im doing the same things but im sure my legs are stronger so now im pretty sure im going to comit to doing this. so do i need to follow this video i dont have any of that stuff near my house so shouldi just do push ups and jump off my couches or somthing

  • @mikedude676767 Actually I wasn't a professional or even good enough to be called a skilled amateur. As for conditioning, try looking into Crossfit. A muuuch better workout than this one I made 2 years ago lol

  • i'm guessing by the time you finished making video of week 2, nike approached you about siging up with them. The rest is history. you sell out. come back and make more videossssss

  • @donhoe01 Haha I wish... I was not even remotely close to that level of skill. I actually joined the Army, so I wasn't able to make any more videos :(

  • kehari pääkii oon vitusti kovempi ku sä. pallinaama, tissiposki kivesleuka mitä muuta vittuun kuuluuu?

  • I could see this work but the sets are pretty small dont you think?

  • Nice video! im sure by now your an expert man!

  • @JPGuitarGuyFutrell thanks man

  • @MrArrogoth for that one, look up static holds. Check out Planche Progressions as well as the L-Sit and Front Levers. Those along with Pushups (in all of their variations), Pull-ups (the real deal, palm forward, full range of motion pull-ups), Bodyweight Squats (just like regular squats but without the barbells) and running should get you into very good shape in a fairly quick amount of time. I started using the planche and front lever progressions my senior year and my bench max jumped 50lbs!!

  • any tips for getting to the point where you can lift your own weight? I'm not fat but I am 220lb 5'11 so I need three times the strength that a normal person does.

  • @KR3WOW9 Everyone go to this kids comment and give him thumbs down! shun the nonbeleivers!

  • skillets good

  • me and my friend are training by ourselves just by climbing tree quickly and jumping down from high, crimbing fences roofs etc, its illegal cuz its other people propertie but thats like the main fun of it :p
