  • I think your doing great! I know how u feel becuz i have cheated and i have lost only 2 pounds last week grrrrrr it makes me so mad .I wish i had lost alot more than that! The first week of my surgery and lost 18lbs in that first week. Now 2 lbs second week grrrr but i am hopeing it will get better and knwo it will when i go get my fill.. 2 weeks till first fill....Girl U are looking goood!! Stay positive ♥

  • Thanks...but you really are so hard on yourself. 2 Pounds per week is FANTASTIC...and you should not expect more than that...keep up the fabulous work you are doing, stay positive...we'll do it together.

  • Wow...I am right with you today. I posted you a message eariler today about how un-frustrated you seemed with the slow loss. We ARE the same as before the band so I feel it is all about the fills/restriction to make the band work. I have been able to eat like I did before the surgery...so I do. I think the doctor will give me a better fill knowing I am able to eat the no-no foods like bread and steak and pasta w/o problems. Waiting for the fill that will work.

    Your attitude is great.....Lori

  • Yah, I was talking about you in this video. About not being calm....I can and do eat like I did after surgery for the most part, but I have cut out candy, pop, and fast food completely. I completely understand how you are feeling....hopefully soon we can say the same about losing weight and having to buy new clothes cause everything is too big or about being off medication :0)

  • On another note... You said it best when you said that it took you several years to develop your old behaviors..learning new ones are just as challenging. I am very much a type "A" person (desire everything quickly), which at times is frustrating. Managing small expectations maybe helpful-allowing you to always regroup yet continually moving forward. Keep on smiling..you REALLY are doing fine. *Hugs* Paula

  • Yes...it is so easy to lose sight of that. To really accept that this is for life this time, and making the changes as slkow as I need to...as long as I make them...is okay. Thanks Paula.

  • Hello, how are are you doing? Havent seen an update? Im not sure where you are in your wt loss, it seems you are not losing like you thought you might, does your Dr have any insight. Hange in there you can do it!!!!

  • I really appreciated this video, I think it gets to "real point" of it all. I will also try to remember this on my bad days....

  • God Bless you,,keep up the good work. Your doing GREAT. Best wishes to you.

  • ((HUGS)) I am so proud of you. We all have hard days. I can relate to how you feel. I didn't lose for 5 weeks. I kept thinking it was me or I was messing up again. Sometimes our bodies just want to hang on to the fat a bit, and sometimes it is up not making good choices. I see that you are really wanting to make this work. You are so inspiring. Hang in there, it will get better. You look beautiful.

    ((hugs and prayers))

  • Dont be so hard on yourself - you are doing great - you are not going up - you just haven't got the right fill yet. It will happen and the weight will start to melt :) Hugs & Love, Melissa :)

  • You remind me a lot of myself! I think that's why I relate to what you say so much. I personally think you are doing so well. Unfortunately the lap doesn't also go around our brains & I think that our heads have to catch up with the band around our stomachs. But I believe that will happen eventually. You said you wanted to help people and you've helped me! I will have my lap band placed in 10 days & your videos have helped me massively!

  • About the 2 months thing.....yes, it can take that long to build up enough fill that the band is working. I, and a few people I know, are on fill #3 with no restriction, and depending on your dr., it can take awhile to get enough fill. So Yes, I definately need a fill, but it is a really frustrating time between surgery and that elusive "sweet spot"....which is where I am right now.

  • Hello, I just had my third fill. A total of 6 cc's now. Lost a total of 20 lbs. Although I have also given up soda and fast food, I was eating too much food because I was hungry for it. The next 2 days I will be on liquids. I hope I will finally feel the restriction to get me through to my next appt. one month from now. It is a challenge to get the weight off but I feel with every pound gone, knowing it is going to stay off with apease me. Take care...you have a great heart...Lori
