"BATTLEFIELD HEROES" (Beta) - Demo of the Gameplay

It's currently in closed beta but it's damn fun - I highly recommend trying it. If you signup for a Fileplanet membership at: http://www.fileplanet.com/promotions/battlefield-heroes it guarantees you a Beta key.

It's still really new so you can only make 4 toons per account. Choose wisely because you can't delete them yet either.

So far it's basically a capture-the-fort game and you win rounds by which team accumulates the most points. There are only 3 battlegrounds in the beta - Victory Village, Buccaneer Bay, and Seaside Skirmish. One is more for infantry war and the other two allow for a lot of vehicle play. There are tanks, jeeps, airplanes, and gun turrets.

There are two factions: The Royals (like the US) and the Nationals (like the Nazi) - good guys vs bad guys There are three classes: Soldier, Commando, and Gunner. Soldier is like a group support type fighter and healer, Gunner is a straight-on damage toon, and Commando is a stealther with knife and sniper rifle.

Once you get your Beta key you have to signup with both Battlefield Heroes and with EA. The game runs using ActiveX out of Internet Explorer but it's a separate client.

You get training points as you go that you can use to customize your character abilities, and you can earn (and also buy) funds that allow you to buy in-game weapon and outfit upgrades to customize your look and style of play.

Try it out - it's a great game for a beta and when the game is released we get to keep our characters.

@GamersMinion Well said. I agree 100%, anyone that thinks these ARE actually representing forces in the real world, is mistaken. It drives me crazy when people choose Royals just to "kill Nazzzis". Hell, I don't even like that word anymore.
