The second raid on Occupy Riverside occurred on Wed. Nov. 30, 2011. No longer being tied down with tents and food to a specific location, the next day, on Thu. Dec. 1, we marched down Main St. Promenade and turned right on 5th. st., going around the Mission Inn. I followed them to make a visual record consisting of still images and videos.

And shortly (at 4:40 in the video), a private security squad from the Mission Inn consisting of four Mission Inn guards assembled before me, cutting me off from the main Occupy Riverside strollers. I decided to record them as it stalked the strollers.

Oh my! At we turned right on Mission Inn Blvd., one of them noticed me recording them along with the strollers, threatening me with jail and confiscation should I not stop recording. The name taped to his mobile phone is "A. Appello," as shown at 6:36. At 4:37, Il Capo di Tutti Capi, A. Appello, agrees with a passerby's ad hominem remark that the strollers are "loosers" by saying "exactly."

The fun came when I continued to record. The Mission Inn had two members of the squad follow me across Mission Inn Blvd. and down the Main St. Promenade, with one of the two whose badge at 12:19 revealed his name to be "Peter Demian," attempting to intimidate me with threats of confiscation of my property, arrest, and incarceration, as well as making false and damaging statements about me. The Mission Inn also demeaned, harassed, and defamed me when it called me a clown, unemployed, and a loser. It also said that I was already in jail. It also objected to the kind of hat I wore. What these criticisms have to do with the Mission Inn and its Festival of Lights, it did not say.

The blog, Thirty Miles of Corruption here

  • According to Hotel Executive, July 8, 2011, "Rosure’s strong understanding of customer loyalty coupled with her creative expertise in creating value added luxury experiences brings a unique skillset to the property."

The key words there are "...value added luxury experiences...." No wonder people are talking about how the Mission Inn is trying to have Mario's Restaurant and the Hideaway closed down seeing as how the two establishments appeal to the 99% more than to the Mission Inn's 1% people.

  • Peter Damian is no longer employed by the Mission Inn, he is in prison. He stole over 4,000 dollars. He was part of a rushed hiring process that fired very well qualified staff (some had been with the company for over 20 years) and replaced them with incompetent, power hungry, tyrannical, and offensive people with no experience. Diana Rosure with the backing of Kelly R led the cleansing with a fake smile and sharp guillotine. If the Mission Inn crumbles to the ground, these people are to blame.

  • @Fmillerization,

And he, himself was threatening the photographer with imprisonment. What irony and a sort of poetic justice.

  • Hello Fmillerization,

In this time of so-called "austerity," where the 1% want to squeeze more from the 99%, it's possible that the likely poorly paid, senior security staff accumulated enough seniority to finally earn a decent wage to live on.

So the Mission Inn's vindictiveness at their having achieved seniority could very well have convinced Rosure & Roberts to replace many of them with new, lower paid staff, then penny-pinching further by eliminating the costs of some background checks.

  • @Fmillerization

I guess you likely mean jail, so I wonder if it's the one downtown, the Robert Presley Detention Center. If so, I, and perhaps Occupy Riverside, could pay him a visit or two.

  • my god, you have to be the biggest idiot I've ever heard john dingler. The facts you have are wrong and the way you point the camera in peoples faces is appalling. I really wish the video would have ended with you getting a swift punch straight to your jaw to shut you annoying mouth. And btw, when all 4 of our restaurants are full we send them right over to Marios. Your stupid to think a multimillion dollar company would care about a sub par Italian restaurant like that.

  • @chevyyyyyyy The "Silent Trooper" is nothing but a seasonal security agent who will go back to his regular life once the festival is over. He was used by Peter that night as a tool for intimidation or "muscle." They hire these guys, hand them a radio and ear piece and MAYBE a week of training. They throw them out to "secure" with no training, knowledge, or experience.

  • @chevyyyyyyy Diana Rosure is the hotels General Manager. After Duane and Kelly Roberts she is the go to person. She ran Kelly's Spa which is how she gained Kelly's trust. She has been known to greet employees, tell them what a great job they are doing and proceed to eliminate their positions to get rid of them all in the same day! A. Apello is a cage fighter (a friend of Casey's boyfriend) and head of security. As you can tell from your experience he has little security knowledge.

  • Hello Fmillerization,

Don't know Diana Rosure. Her position sounds like head of security or something similar. If she's the top administrator, oh my, what reckless hiring practices. What about A. Appello, or whatever the guy's name is who held his phone up to reveal that label to the camera?

And what about the silent trooper who accompanied Peter Demian across the street all the way to the middle of the rink's location?

  • Hello waingro,

No, I knew not to touch him or his fellow expeditionary force troopers.

He was indeed patrolling streets: Mission Inn Blvd and the Main St. Promenade.

Since Peter Demian (and A. Appello a little) were representing the Mission Inn when they made their incursion into public streets, it surprises me that the Mission Inn felt a need to patrol streets in the first place. It does not own them, obviously..., or maybe it thinks the surrounding sreets are part of its extended domain.

  • Honestly, I don't think I would have been able to restrain myself from breaking that guys nose.

Peter, you sorry little punkass with a short man complex, you've got a face only a mother could love. It's a good thing you are no longer "patrolling" the streets of downtown Riverside.
