@demontamerkyuubi Oh, in that context it does seem very expensive then. I was referring to the .50 cal Raufoss. I don't really consider the other types of Raufoss rounds to be true Raufoss rounds.
@franknbeans4761 However I'm a shotgun guy my biggest rifle is my .22lr my buddies got the .308 rifle with these so for someone who uses mostly shot/brenneke KOs $30 a round seems kinda pricey.
@demontamerkyuubi It isn't terribly expensive, especially with something that has an explosive component in it. I can find them for $30 a round. I'm just surprised the ATF hasn't done anything to jack up the price.
@fruchttragend Well i can tell you,There are many ppl out there that have been hit by a .50 cal bullet and survived.check out Vietnam war korea war and ww2.
@amazo88 Ehmm no really nop. I'm not going to lie.. But i dont know .50 cal survivors either. And with this Mk211 uff the probabilities are minimal to none.. I suppose that this round is not for humans targets, i think this is anti-material, like radars, rockets, missiles, choppers, and something like that. You know i'm just saying. =)
I'm thinking it would be more effective if you shot it at a wall and recorded the other side

For those who claim there is no valid civilian use for these rounds, I have one thing to say: Dragons.

@fruchttragend
It is for (among those things you mentioned) taking out multiple targets behind cover.

for the price on Raufoss you kinda expect a rainbow to come out of your barrel with it.

Kind of a waste of a good round. Perhaps if some kittens were involved...
