@olathecomedian U already have! U seem like a nice guy and I wish u the best. I am a lover of comedy believe you me, and I appreciate good comedy. It's not question of whether I understand or not, it's the ability you have as a comedian to either challenge or perpetuate a stereotype. From what you have done here is the latter. I hope for better and as a entertainer you have a good opportunity. I love the likes of Dave Chapelle to Bill Hicks and George Carlin. Comedy does more than make me laugh.

What no jokes about how black people love chicken and watermelon? Such a freaking coon performance, second one I have seen perform at the comedy store I will not be going there.

@star83 I don't usually reply to comments but this one I felt needed addressing. It's actually a shame you haven't understood my performance, because if you did you'd understand I'm the last person to "coon out". I'm actually just very honest on stage.
The Impression of my father is done everywhere, including black shows and even the one time I was invited to perform at church. It is not feeding into a stereotype as it is actually just the truth.

Impression of your father!! Excellent feed into the stereotype of black fathers to a white audience..Uncle ruckus would be proud..

@star83 I hope you'd watch my body of work to put my material into context. I clearly don't always get my message across perfectly but most ppl get it.
I think black people find it hard to believe there is more than 1 way to be black. Some black people are well spoken and it doesn't make them "white". Some black people don't take race seriously and it doesn't make them a "sellout". I'm a comedian, so think about what I'm really saying. I refuse to believe you're incapable of sensing irony.

@olathecomedian "labelled go to jail" where is the irony?
star83 1 year ago
@star83 the clue is in the first word, it's about "labelling". I'm poking fun at the fact that Brixton and areas like such are treated like the "Go to Jail" square. As soon as you land there you have a direct ticket to jail. When I say "they labelled it go to jail" it's a very vague reference to the general consensus.
Wow I've never really had to explain my material like this except funnily enough when I did that joke once at a primary school.

@star83 It's OK if you don't like my material or don't agree with my viewpoint. But do not rubbish something because you don't understand it.
It's comedy! laugh if it's funny, don't laugh if it's not! I'll keep working on better ways to make you laugh. It's what I love to do, so I'll get you to crack a smile one day :-)
