@phddddd Agreed. However, that does not mean that its not good. If it did, nobody would listen to anything but Mozart and Jazz, Blues, and Rock N Roll would never have happened. Because it wasn't Mozart.

It would have been more appropriate to show stills from the French Revolution than these odd objects.
The overture is full of menace and melancholy. Like the opera it's absolutely superb. A wonderful work. It's great that a Brit composed the music to a really ambitious opera about this subject.
