Nino! This is fantastic! I applaud your work. Just magnificent. Did you use an external recorder? Can I record just into the camera? And what were your settings? C-log, sharpness all the way down, saturation, contrast? Did you shoot canon log or neutral profile? Do i set it on MJPEG quicktime codec at 4k? Thanks so much in advance mate!

Thanks Cristhian! All details are on my blog, see link above!

All 4K shots were C-log, the rest was in a flat picture profile (yes, sharpness all the way down etc.). 4K is only MJPEG!

The rolling shutter is terrible at 0:14, even on a slow pan you can see the ripple and frame tearing noise. There is no way you can use this for feature motion picture productions.

I agree about the rolling shutter, it seems to be just as bad as it always was on DSLRs. But ripple and frame tearing noise? Not worse than on any other 24p camera!!

Thanks Nino, good to see more footage from this interesting camera.

One query - is the jerking I'm seeing on the tilts from around 2.32 at your end on the export too? Or is that a streaming/compression effect? (I've tried watching this link and on Vimeo at various playback resolutions and it's still there :/) Thanks

From my understanding the Canon 1DC is a glorified Canon 1DX with the exact same gut's only difference is the Heat Sink miniscule circutry and firmware. $7000 difference? Jee Whiz The Blackmagic Cinema Camera for the money has as good a quality Picture that can be seen on this site or Vimeo in 1080p as very few really can afford 4k monitor's or T.Vs at this point.

Leave the YouTube HTML5 trial and you will see an "original" resolution below the video as well. Also, it will show in HTML5 version IF you have an appropriate 4K monitor on which you are watching it.
