Ron Hovis volunteered for the field and died without every seeing his daughter. That was over 40 years ago I won't forget him.

What we have seen here is not as drastic as what they have been through in the real world. Hoping that a simple "Thanks" and a sincere tribute would ease all your sadness and pain.

Well put, and yes I always say thanks to our military men when I see them in uniform, as well as everyone else should too.

Thankyou to the soldiers who have served and for fighting for the USA.
We thank all of you for fighting and Veterans Day isn't just about being out of school or off work it's for honoring our soldies who fought for our country and almost all of my family members were in the military'
I just wanted everyone to pray for my cousin in Germany who will be in a war I hope he is alright and one more thing

WOW! I just read 2 and a half pages of comments. Some good, some highly ignorant and some, well why even bother to comment. I'm a Canadian and I respect all the men/women of the military, regardless of what country they're from! To those serving... THANK YOU! When was the last time you said Thank You to a military person?

We owe these men and women everything good this USA has to offer. Enough of these politicians getting rich and spending every dime of OURS on there special interestssss. They should not get rich while our soldiers come back home to nothing if they come back home at all. Its time we let them know they work for the people. And the only special interest spending there should be is on the men and women soldiers who protect our country.

Quaffleman102, no one likes war. No one wants to go to war, if you ask a Marine or an Army Infantry soldier, they'll all say they hate war, but you know what?
They are NOT cowards and they will answer the nation's call. They choose to fight and die, so we won't have to.
Now you can sit back on your chair and leave dumb ignorant comments, think about that soldier/marine over there in foreign land giving you that right to have freedom of speech.
