Idk if anyone can help me but im going to ask anyway.
so i got this iphone 3g and its in good condition. I dont have no sim in it and im using it as an ipod. But it wont connect to wifi. Ive dont everything ive read and nothing works. I put it right next to my router and it wont show up. Its Really frustrating. Someone please help me

i have same problem after restore and update my iphone 3G to FW 4.2.1 with iTunes !!

i have that but one day it came back randomly but my battery completely died then when i turned it back on same "no wifi" thing again

Only one thing to do really.. i had the same problem with my Ipod touch (32gb 3rd gen), i followed the instructions on the apple webpage, but it dident help.
If i was you, i would check the spot at the end of the jack port. there's a little piece of paper'ish material. if its white, you go down to the apple store where you bought it and get it repaired, (It should be free), and if its Pink, its been waterdamaged and you have to pay for the repair..

so there is no problem with the wifi for the iphone? im getting 1 and i really want to know how do u change from like the internet you buying to wifi like is there a switch that turns off the paided internet please message me if you know PLEASE
i have this same problem. Mine is jailbroken with 3.1.2 black rain. i reset the network settings-didnt work. Hard and soft reseting it-didnt work. help! oh and restoring doesnt help either

settings>general>reset>reset network settings
the issue is that your device has lost its "wifi address"...and resetting network settings will reestablish this.
to check go to: settings>general>about
then scroll down to "wifi address" this should now be a populated field.
