Anaklia hosting Women`s Chess Tournament

Women`s 68th Championship of Georgia was opened in Anaklia resort today. The winners of various international prizes, including Olympic Champions, vice champions are among the participants of the tournament. Nazi Paikidze, the chess player who has signed a contract with Georgian Chess Federation and will from now on represent Georgia at various international tournaments, is also participating in the Georgian Championship. Russia tried to sign contract with Georgian player before she signed the abovementioned contract.
Minister of Sports, Lado Vardzelashvili, president of the Chess Federation, Giorgi Giorgadze and the Chief Referee of the tournament, Nana Aleksandria attended the opening ceremony in Anaklia.
The tournament will last until January 23.
