@btodd21 what I was saying is that my brother in law got me that because I said I wanted a hand mixer to make mashed potatoes, but this isn't the right kind. My mom did give us the one we wanted though. I don't know exactly what it's called but it has two metal beaters on it. We decided to keep the one my brother in law gave us because we can always use it for other things.

I notice you mentioned mash potatoes with that mixer . if the mixer is what i think it is its a blade ?

If so mashing/mixing starch with it will make them gluey :P maybe you like them like that but thats just coming from a culinary background haha
