Actually, it's a very common misconception. It's something that most TV shows get completely wrong. Shocking a flatline won't do anything.
You see, a defibrillator does exactly what it says on the tin. It 'de-fibrillates'. When the heart is 'fibrillating', it's beating irregularly, or 'fluttering'. The 'shock' you described is used to bring about a more regular rhythm.
You administer epinephrine if a person flatlines, it's the only thing that might work.

I love the guys especially Dick and Barry. It would be impossible to not like the cast for DM. I have just one observation for Barry. How does he like his initials: BVD? Or.... does he have a middle name besides Van?

Someone needs to tell Jesse you can't shock a flatline! No wonder Bruce died!!!
I thought you could shock flat lines, because it gave the heart or something a jolt and then it beats again
Or am I being an idiot?

it was a deversion to get the police of his tail. His housekeeper who's always at the house and seven sharp was suposed to save him. But that day of all days she was late. Ah poetic irony.
