OK People Listen up !
You don't need to take the plastic trim from the back of the monitor OR the trim wraped on the under side above the control panel to get in to this PC ??
SO you won't need the bread knife in your tool box. .. lol
Thats if you havent all ready smashed yours to bits watching this video :O/
Nice table cloth by the way.. :O)

I WISH I had known what a HPiece of cr@p this computer was before spending money on it! Reading the summary here, it seems that it was designed without any consideration of adequate cooling. I've been lucky with the graphics card, but had two hard disk failures which have been very costly to fix.
It seems HP designed this to fail as close to the end of the factory warranty as possible. And now I hear that they are getting out of the PC market altogether!

Thanks, Any idea how to get the power supply out? Am I right in thinking that I will have to completely dismantle the PC to get the the new PSU in there? I can see why HP discontinued this model. Thanks again, without your video I was stumped. At least now I can almost see the finish line. Any further advice or videos would be much appreciated.

Here's some tips to make the job less "fiddly". That curved plastic pain-in-the-ass piece doesn't need to come out before the media bay. Save yourself from breaking the fragile clips by leaving it in place. Also, those clips that attach the heatsink to the graphics card can wait to be removed. Take 3 long screws from the fan assembly, plus 4 tiny screws from the chipset heatsink, plus 2 small screws from the graphics card and unplug the fan. Slide the graphics card out of its slot and remove.
