Another silly test video [ 2 ] made while figuring-out how to use a new
Panasonic HDC-HS700K video camera purchased in November 2010. So
far, this is an exceptional HD camcorder; indoors and outdoors.
The camera was aimed due south through the living room window as the sun
melted snow off of two cars. Corby, the cat, had to get into the picture, too, as
you'll see in a number of frames.
The streetlight needs to be fixed by PEPCO. The lamp keeps going on and off,
thus it's shown blinking (to the beat of the music) due to the time-lapse.
As a quick-'n'-dirty, Apple's iMovie was used to throw this segment together
so it could be uploaded to YouTube (2011.0114). There are still some "quality"
issues regarding HD uploads to YouTube; finding the right set-up options
may do the trick — when they're finally discovered.

Great test, how long will the battery last using time lapse? (I assume you did not use the battery for this shot ;-) )

As a city guy, I'm more amazed at the bear at the window

That is so neat. I loved watching the snow fall from the windows, and the occasional critter in the window.

Great video. I love snow, but it's also cool to see if melt off cars and wait for chunks to slide down, at least in time-lapse. I hope your bedroom window does not face that direction. That streetlight would drive me nuts.
