A classical question in algebraic geometry is how many cone-singularities a surface of a given degree can have. In 1996 Barth found the beautyful degree 6 surfaces shown in this move. It has 65 cone singularities, not all of which can be seen in this movie. Jaffe and Rubermann proved one year later, that 65 is indeed the maximal possible number.
