  • Incidentally, for those of you who don't know, this really is Geiberger simply retranslating what he has always said (and I think said better) when he would talk about how there was only one fast moment in the swing, and you wanted it to be at the bottom of the arc and nowhere else...if you spend it early, it's gone.

  • @srv29

"Hips square up the face" is kind of like "legs drive the arms through," or like, for a sprinter, "the secret to running fast is in pumping the arms." Well, it is if you already know how to move your legs fast and stay in balance; and for the golfer, "hips square up the face" if you already make a good swinging motion with the arms and club and have developed a strong release. If you haven't, it'll be nothing but drag.

  • @McGinnbros

    The truth.

  • Nice advice but of course it is only half the truth cause the secret is in the transition...

  • knowing what it is, I'm not sure any of this advice is useful

  • that guy prolly had great lag when he ws 18 lol

  • The hips don't square up the face...

  • Great tip Al!

  • great videos, really worth watching! thanks Al!

  • My first teacher Ray Stocker in North London called this the "Power angle".. but it amounts to the same thing I suppose.

Al still has a great swing very fluid and effortless...
