Disney D23′s Armchair Archivists tracked down Walt Disney's last filmed appearance which was on 27 October 1966. This was a few days before doctors discovered Walt Disney had a tumor on his lung. Sadly he died on 15 December 1966. In the clip Walt talks about The Happiest Millionaire featuring British pop singer Tommy Steel which was in production at the time. alll right reserved - d23 walt disney company.
This highlights how Walt, even in failing health, could keep his innate showman zeal spooling out enthusiasm for the latest project.

2011 had to have been my best Walt Disney World year ever.. Got my first Annual Pass.. Stayed in a Disney Resort Hotel on 3 different ocassions.. And went to my first Star Wars Weekend during the re- opening ceremonies for the new Star Tours and saw George Lucas.. Could not have had a better year.. I have become an even bigger Disney Fan because of this year.. I love hearing Mr.Disney speak. He has such a easy voice to listen to.. It's like listening to a grandfather speak to you..

It is so sad that the Walt Disney Company has decided to remove "WALT'S name from the classic WALT DISNEY PICTURES studio. it is now simply "DISNEY". Disney CEO Bob Iger said the following in an interview with The Harvard Law Review re-quoted in the New York Times... “The baggage of tradition,” he says of Disney’s culture, “can slow you down. I’m not going to eliminate that,” he added, “but I’d like to reduce it significantly.”
