You'll want to check with your manufacturer (Asus) for the details, but most Asus Eee PC modules should upgrade in a similar fashion.

@TapTapFreak most of them are limited to 2 GB only .. more expensive ones like some models with E350/450 can be upgraded to 4 gig .. however netbook will not use more than 3 or 4 atmost so dont bother. SSD helps a lot ... with overclocking through Brazos tweaker/ or setfsb and gma booster

You should type upgrade of an old asus eeepc or at least what type of netbook do you have there :) .. your video is useless .. everybody can change hdd with a cover lid that has two screws on it :) .. i´ve had to break the seal of mine asus that is right under the keyboard :)

Netbooks usually have one RAM slot right? And to how much GB is it possible to upgrade? Because 8GB.. would be pretty epic!

If you know what's good for you, you will NOT upgrade any HDD to a SSD. I replaced my desktop system HDD with a puny, expensive 128 GB SSD and I am COMPLETELY ADDICTED to it now. I still use the HDDs for data storage, but all of my apps MUST go on SSDs from now on. I will probably end up paying 10x more for storage for the rest of my life.

Save yourselves. Don't end up like me.

@mumihp ssd is a immense waste of ressources. before there is no organic semi conductor, i dont think its the future.

Can anyone tell me why SSD remain so expensive, with technology evolving, newer technolgy is becoming more affordable towards cosumer user howerver SSD is the future, its smaller and more faster but damn to expensive. I only seen SSD on the higher end laptops, the more expensive ones. At the moments SSD can cost the price of a netbook or even laptop and the price isn't going to fall soon, if it was going to happen, would have happened by now.

Nice instructions, I'm going to buy a Asus netbook soon, and will upgrade it to 2gb, it only cost a tenner but SSD are to expensive. If you want to get 120gb, it cost more than half a netbook device. SSD has been on the market for years, most of the higher end netbook/notebook has them. I upgraded my sony laptop to 6gb ram however if SSD were cheap, would have replaced the HD as well. SSD needs to become cheaper but the price isn't falling.

@frundeatt66 Some SSD comes with a hard drive encloser and a clonning software.

If your SSD does,put you hard drive in the encloser and use the clonning software to clone the HDD.
