@indeedItdoes Thank You very much for the great videos You make and share.
I don't really know how difficult it might be to put together these vids. I think You have done a great job showing these steps in a clear way giving realistic idea of what is involved.
I'm sure You give many a little taste of what Gold-fever feels like.
Thank You again. I look forward to watching more of Your videos.

This is a very good quality gold ,at least 9995 .the last boiling with HCL is not required since the gold was already pure.Before filtering the aqua regia I usualy put couple of drops of H2SO4 to take out any lead.Well done
i have the acetelyne and O2 on and i think im geting plenty of heat it had know problem melting the powder. but is the glaze supposed to melt again too? my little gold balls are stuck in the glaze. i tried heating it a little and pulling them out with tweesers but it didn't work. im wondering if i did the glaze wrong. my dish is about 2 inches round and 1 inch deep. as for the amount of powder i did not weight it before i melted it but it was only a little bit maybe 1/2 gram to 1 gram of powder.

Humm... well, even 1/2 gram is perfectly capable of pooling togather.
I can think of two things: either you have used too much borax or you scattered fowder before it melted with the flame.
You have two choices basically, keep it as is and melt mort gold later to collect the beads, or add soda ash to make the borax coating more fluide.
just remember that soda ash slowly damages ceramics (and sometimes very fast).

hi my name is rusty and i am at the end of the process. i glazed my melting dish with borax and let it cool. then i put my powder in (P.S. i don't have much powder to begin with) and when i put the torch to it it melted down into a bunch of tiny gold balls and it is stuck in the borax glaze. i tried to roll them into the middle but they don't move. any help would be appriciated. also i am using an acyetalene torch does that make a diffrence?

@esskater512
Sounds like you are not producing enough heat.
Are you using only acyetalene flame?
If you do, consider adding an O2 buttle.
How much gold powder did you try to melt and how big is the dish?

at what temperature is the flame of the torch you used to melt the gold?

@9kuuby9
Hi
In this video i have used MAPP torchm well capable of reaching 1200 C.
For best results and speedy melting, an Oxy/fuel or Oxy/hydrogen torch should be used.
