  • Every time I watch this I cry. I went to Riley for two years. Why did they tear it down? What isn't broken doesn't need fixing!

  • It's like this! We have a school superintendent who is an outsider. Someone who never grew up in Frankfort, therefore the history of these buildings don't mean nothing to him. He just wanted to see his name on a corner stone at our new school that replaces both Riley and Kyger schools.

The superintendent and the school board members must be proud. Their schools here in Frankfort are failing but they have a shining new building.

    Totally Clueless!

  • I dont understand why was it torn down... Such a beautiful school with the ceiling fans in the classrooms and the classic chalk boards such a waste

  • Contact school superintendent Dr. David Caress and the rest of the Frankfort school board members and ask them.

  • I went to this school in 1997 or 98 all the way through 5th grade. I'm now a Sr at Frankfort high, and I can tell you miss this place. I heard they were going to place a park on the grounds. Is that true? also there use to be a sign the hung on a tree near the street. Do you know what happened to that?

  • They could of made the school into something else..

  • who else has pissed in the cheese castle?

  • Very cool video, I was a Poet back in the mid to late 80's, I do miss the cheese castle and kickball at recess! hahah

  • Thanks for taking the time and posting this. I did not go to this school. I graduted from Franklin Central High School in 1981. I remember going to the old Fairland Indiana High School, for my 7Th grade in 1975. At that time that building was the JR High. I think it was built in 1925. It looked something like this school. I loved walking into that building. They tore it down in 1986. Just remember this nobody can take your memories away.

  • (Sniffle Sniffle) (Cry Cry)
