  • BERNARDO!

  • my favorite part of the movie along with the battle near the end , i know everyone likes yul brynner , he is great but i have to say george chakiris is my favorite in this film.

  • @Calburtonreid the music from kings of the sun composed and conducted by elmer bernstein is on cd in the elmer bernstein film music collection on the fsm label and is a limited edition. it is a box set of 12 cds and includes other works by bernstein.

  • @vinegar4yoWound Brynner at least was Buryat Mongol on his father's mother. Not Native American at all but pure white I dunno...

  • Mr. Cerveral, i have an emotional interest in this movie because an old uncle of mine was an extra in some boat rowing scenes, He remembers when some Mexicans were hired as extras. I would like to show him some of these, his memories, Obviously i respect the non-spoiling policy, but, ¿may you upload just a little bit of soome of these scenes so i can show to him? thanks. B.

  • great film , very underated , great cinematography and acting , sets are magnificent as is the music and costumes and amazing battle scenes , one of the best historical epics ever made

  • Great movie if you like to see Yul's physicality/sensuality. Not a grade A movie, but he sure is lovely to watch.

  • yes im sure the planting of maise and the building of mounds and and raised temples in the northern reaches of north america must have had its cultural origins with meso-americans in one way or another. The major northern centre of Cahokia(near modern st. louis) seems to have collpased shortly after the fall of the aztecs. perhaps thier culture was being fed, like a fire from a fuel source in the south, and when that link was cut..thier civilisation, also collapsed. perhaps not though.

  • Mississippian culture in southeastern US bear some similiarities with Meso-american culture and some scholar theorized that the culture has Meso-American influence. Before the discovery of the Bonampak Murals, the Mayas were seen as a peaceful culture who worshiped the stars and did not practice Human sacrifice like the Aztecs. The discovery had change that romantic idea. The Maya has common culture with other Meso-American people and they also practice human sacrifice.

  • post the movie and we'll know who died
