    regards,jordan

  • hi jordan,

    mike

  • Good video, great to see what us Brits have on the shelves to take out. Also appeals to us lightweight backpackers! cheers.

  • yes i do alot of light weight backpacking so alot of the food i take out is light weight and needs just water. also use alot of freeze dried food its the best pound for pound food for the hills.

    mike

  • Thats not bushcraft, thats camping in the woods. I usually take a small pouch of herbs and spices, to brighten up the fish or rabbit I catch, or the occasional phesant if your lucky.

  • and some people dont have the facilities to have that means of food so this is for them, but thanks for your comment

  • @ohforfxcksake LOL..its a step to the stoneage..we all gotta walk the road of least resistance first, build up a tolerance, and confidence, and for some preparednes..all baby steps. eh?

  • Note: when your Urban rations are eaten and gone, you can still live , just looking around yer choice of camp, you can harvest food too. Them Ferns in the back are a food source..there are maples around (I have made and eaten maple inner bark bread) the Maple Seeds are good when boiled and roasted..Tap that Maple for a driink. If your really in desperate and in need of protein, fry up some grubs, and chew up some WormJerky, if the fish is not sizzling in yer pan. Never go hungry in the bush

  • Somthing i do is to cook some stripped chicken in rice with sweet chilli sauce :) great if you love spice and sweet

  • Tea, oats, and chocolate etc seem great for camping but if I'm lost, I want essential nutrition such as multigrain nut protein bars and whey powder. That is if I am limited by the need to carry other essential survival tools and water.

  • @RavenBlaze I like the chicken

  • @wildside126 oooh whats your favorite thing to put in with ramen? or do u like your ramen straight up (just using the flavor packet)?

  • Great vid, tasty stuff. I like not to rely on the packaging though $y. 1/2" dehydrated beef jerky, 1lb rice, dehydrated vegi's your choice plus fruits 1/2lb It is healthier and cheaper in the long run and pound for pound dried like the just add water dehydrated stuff. Now the Ziplock bag bowl that gets 5* work out protein powder plus dates and chocolate chips can be made into bars and saves weight too. Good for here,

  • Good on ya Mike, I love youtube because there are so many everyday people doing their thing and posting videos, you get to see what people are getting up to with their lives. When I come to England next year ill hunt you down and take one of your courses. Can you tell me if English customs will let me bring my hunting knives into the country for doing a course?

  • I have to ask... Why not heat up the water then add the oats and what not to the cup?
